This is Jeffs
Studio where you can see him work and view work in progress along
with a ever changing exhibition of recent work and a selection of
paintings produced as prints and card.
Jeff was born and raised in North Yorkshire
where he developed an early interest in the countryside. After serving
an apprenticeship as a draughtsman, he has spent most of his working
life in Norway and Scotland where he came to love the wild landscape.
Jeff moved to Strathspey nine years ago to concentrate on his painting.
Jeff usually paints in his studio from
sketches done on location, he works mainly in watercolour in a traditional
representative style, but also produces work in pastel and oils
when the mood takes him. Jeff spends his time painting the mountains,
lochs and countryside of the Cairngorm area along with Scottish
wildlife subjects.
Jeffs paintings can be found
in private collections in many parts of the world including the
U.S.A., Canada, Japan, South Africa, Australia and most of Western
Europe
